I`ve tried everything I could found, followed the doom9 divx2vcd guide, tried converting it with avi2vcd, Ulead media studio pro, tried divx with normal sound in TMPG (not VBR MP3 that needs to be extracted with VirtualDub), and no matter what I try I always get audio out of sync.
Can anybody please help?
PS I always converted PAL to PAL and NTSC to NTSC so I think that problem is not in frame rate.

You could check these :
1- Check that the fps is not broken (i.e. 25.002 or 24.998)
A 1/1000 error leads to 5 second shift a the end of the movie. If broken
+ save audio uncompressed
+ save video after changing the fps to its correct value
+ Edit wav with soundforge/wla until they match
2- Decompress the audio track into a plain wav
3- Reload this wav as audio track in vdub, check if it is synced with video at the begining/middle/end
4- If not :
- Constant shift : correct with audio interleaving menu and re-save the wav when happy.
- Progressive shift : Change duration with soundforge or wla (less quality but very precise)
5- When audio and video are synced AND the avi framerate is okay, encode video then audio with lame. Mux with tsunami profile VCD standard.
Tell me where it does not work
