View Full Version : Avidemux Subtitle Errors

Is there a reason why no matter what video I use, when I try adding either .ssa or .ass subtitles, I get a Fatal Error message?

I have the latest version of Avidemux.

Could you please try the latest SVN release (download link in my signature)?

Previous releases buffered logging and the output could occasionally be lost upon crashing (which in your case has occurred).

Your version (r4276) is pretty old. Please update to r4458 and try again:

Thanks guys, I'll install it now and try it out later, and tell you my outcome. :D

The reason I didn't get that one before is because it says (beta) so I assumed it probably wasn't stable.

SVN builds are usually more stable than old "Final" builds ;)

That was just a piece of it. The video is me playing a Mario Level that I designed myself. It's alot longer than the (20 seconds?) of subs I posted.

After about 5 minutes of encoding, it gives me the Fatal Error. I'm sure it would sub a video less than a couple minutes long without the error, but I need it to work for longer videos, 10-15 minutes. Maybe 20 if the level is harder.

..Do you guys think I should just use megui for this instead?

LoRd_MuldeR

My video is 1 hour, 6 minutes in length and there's no problem. However I may need a "longer" subtitle file to reproduce the problem...
