hi,

i ask me if you can tell G-Knot that u want give the Credits a specific "audio-bitrate" e.g. 24 or 32!

It is already possible to give the Credits-video an other quality than the main-movie. Is it possible now, to do the same with the audio?
Sometimes, DVDs have a credits time of 10 minutes, and when I work with VBR and the Credits get a AudioBitrate of 160kbps...

G-Knot make to avi-files, eg. "Lethal Weapon 1.avi" and "Lethal Weapon 1_Credits.avi"!
Is it possible to tell the prog that it have to make two 2 MP3 files, eg. "Lethal Weapon 2.mp3" and "Lethal Weapon 2_credits.mp3" ?

mp3s can't really be properly joined for technical reasons.. plus.. you can't change the bitrate within a stream.. afaik the decoder couldn't adapt for the different audio bitrate. So.. you have to decide.. large audio for credits, or cut them away. You have to understand that ripping means making compromises on all levels.. the question is.. where do you make the compromise for your rips

Yosemite,

Why don't you try cutting the end of the mp3 with something like MP3Trim (sorry don't have the url but should be easy to find.)

This way you have low bitrate video and NO audio for the credits.

I haven't actually tried this though but it should work if you don't care about audio for credits.

you could make two seperate dvd2avi projects, demux the audio into two parts at this stage, and encode the two audio and video streams sepearately
