Greetings.
I am almost certain that this topic has been discussed somewhere already...
If - by some kind of accident in the processing, e.g. an encoding failure of a lossless codec - a video contains duplicate frames and lost some previously contiguous content, could such a frame be interpolated to "blanket" this issue?
Original: Frames 1, 2, 3, 4...
Failure: Frames 1, 2, 2, 4...
Repair: Frames 1, 2, (2~4), 4...
There is already a duplicate detector and even a "remover" (using Matroska features), but a conditional filter calling at least a blending filter, if not even motion interpolator - if possible at all - may save someone's day in the german board:
