Virtualdub Capture Jitter

I am trying to capture Digital cam footage. I am trying to use Virtualdub to do this however whether I am using USB or S-video to capture footage, the captured footage jitters. I prefer using usb capture as it captures sound as well which I can't do via S-Video.

Is there any option available that will allow me to capture without the jitter ?

I am using Virtualdub 1.8.6.
