Hi guys,

Now I thought everything was great and I could sit there, enjoy a good Margarita while leaving the great DVD2SVCD work on my movies...Well, not exactly for the moment :(

I have a brand new anti-tequila problem and it's called subtitles.
Ok, permanent subs work great, no problem with that.
Still, I wanted to give selectable subs a try. But neither CVD nor SVCD seem to work for me and no sub appear, no matter what I try. My player is a Tokai 715S (known as Raite 715 or Yamakawa in other galaxies). It worked once with Iauthor a few centuries ago, I could select SVCD subs, didn't work perfectly but it let me know that my Tokai player could handle them.
Now, no way. (I'm using 1.0.6B1 but it is the same with previous ones)

I'm looking for someone with the same player as mine (raite, yamakawa are welcome), who would know where this problem comes from.

Thanks for your help.

Waldok :cool: but a bit :confused:

First, try with VCDImager CVD subs (not vcdxbuilder). If that works, try VCDXBuild but uncheck the "Use Selections"

Wow, I got an answer from THE MAN himself :p

More seriously, thanx for helping, I'll give this a try tonight and I'll keep you informed.
(This 1.0.6 wiht AVI2SVCD is a jewel. Man, I already converted a few old analog 8mm tapes and it was a real pleasure watching these family videos on big TV screen without having to rewind or fastforward all the tape!)

Btw, do you have a Yamakawa yourself ?

"This 1.0.6 wiht AVI2SVCD is a jewel."

So, you must have sent a donation to him? :D

DDog, everytime I read a recent post from you, you ask for donations.
Damn, are you DVD2svcd banker or what ? The guy owes you money or something ? :p

Man, let people act as grown up and stop begging for a second:D

@DVD2SVCD
OK, this seems to work, (unchecking Use selections did the trick, although I don't really know what it means).

Still, some CVD subs appear "underlined" with a white line (only this subs that fit on one single line).
Anyway, thanks for your help, I'll be looking for some threads about this 'underline' issue (seems to me it's been discussed before).

@Ddogg
I find now my reply to your post was a bit overreacting. Still you don't have to control people about donating or not, particularly on an individual basis (even if you try to present it as a joke).

@waldok
Stop arguing all the time
