View Full Version : Excessive "horrizontal scanlines"

Hello,

Rather noob question, but when the movie had been encoded in Divx4 under Gknot, it looks excellent under the original resolution, but when it is expanded full screen, the horizontal scanlines are very visible, especially when lots of action and motion is involved. I'm using softbicubic, and default settings for everything else. I applied force field under DVD2AVI process following the guidlines.

Please offer suggestions,

is ur movie pal or ntsc?
force field?? do you mean "forced film" or "swap field order"?

Thanx for responding.
The source was NTSC, at 95%+. And I followed the "guidelines" of applying ForcedFilm on it in Dvd2Avi.

I am just wondering, what is the need for even doing the ForcedFilm? why not simply leave it at a higher frame rate? Is this so that the final file size can be smaller due to lower frame rate per second?
