Hi all,

Does anybody know if Flask (preview 1.1) is totally compliant with Win2K ? because i've been experiencing more and more pb since i've moved to Win2k (i was under Win98 not so long ago ...)

My main pb is that the video freezes during the process (the video u can see in the window) although encoding is still in progress. And u can notice it when u watch the movie: the begining is good (there are animations) but suddenly i get a static image for the rest of the movie (for approx. 2h !)....

... and i can't understand why !!! Be carefull : my pb is not a freezing of video during playback, it occurs during the encoding !

So if there's somebody understanding the reasons of the pb, please do a reply !

Thanx

Hi,

I don't know if Flask is able to be run under W2k. But XMpeg (new version of Flask) is made for WinXp (and then for W2k).

Why don't you use XMpeg ?? It's the same thing than Flask !!

Hi znarf,

Thanks for the advice, i didn't know XMPEG was designed for XP and Win2K so i will try it soon.

For the moment i do all the encoding using GKnot and i've didn't noticed the better video quality everybody's speaking about. the only thing i've noticed is the very long time it takes to encode a movie with the 2 nandub's pass: 14 hours !!!

Once more, Thanks !

Yeah,

I'm using Xmpeg 4.2 in Windows 2000 Pro and it works like a charm!

although, I don't know what it will be like in Windows XP Home/Pro.
