I recently bought a Pure Digital Flip Mino for my wife. The camera installs the 3ivx MPEG-4 codec. Unfotunately this software seems to conflict with the directshow filters that I have installed. With the software installed all my mp4 files use Nero MP4 splitter instead of Haali. Can anyone provide a way to fix this conflict without having to uninstall the software? Thanks.

This will force usage of Haali's splitter:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Media Type\Extensions\.mp4]
"Source Filter"="{55DA30FC-F16B-49FC-BAA5-AE59FC65F82D}"

Thanks for the help. mp4 doesn't exist in the extensions? Are you saying to add it?

save that as a text.reg file then double click it and hit ok

Thanks again for the help. Is this generally a bad idea, forcing usuage of a splitter? How would I undo this?

Update: This didn't work. Now with the software installed mp4's use PowerDVD splitter.

that just does the same thing the installer does
but thats kinda weird
I'd say reinstalling haali should fix it
I've had to do that a couple times when I messed stuff up
