Ok I have been reading past posts and severasl people are having the same prob as me. When using win98 se, and creating a Divx4/ac3 movie, the movie and sounds works, but in winXP u create the same movie and nothing in winXP seems to play the ac3 from the avi. My question is ..Has anybody actually got it working, i dont care if u dont know how u did it, i just want to know if its possible to create a divx4/ac3 avi and be able to hear the ac3 from the avi in any sort of player in winXP.
thanks for any replies

not sure what mpgaudio.ax is (filters for XP???? is
this why xp has been crashing all my players???)...
I will check it out pronto
BUT I have gotten ZoomPlayer and Windows Media Player
to both work for me in XP, excluding some frequent
crashes. ZoomPlayer looks like the only alternative
for multiple ac3 tracks under WinXP.

Well from reading some of doom9's avi/ac3 guide, i think mpgaudio.ax is just one of the filters u need to play ac3 in a movie software player, its for both 98 and XP so it isnt just for XP, im using Power Divx NextGen and its working great now, ehh i dont know about multiple ac3 tracks though
