Hello everyone,

i hope this is the correct forum, if not please move this post.

I have a DVD recorded with a standalone recorder. The signal was anamorphotic 16:9 material. The recorder always sets the PAR to 4:3. Now i want to convert the VOB-set to one big MPEG-file. Normaly i do this with VOB2MPEG, which works great. But i'd like to set the PAR to the correct setting in this step. Is there any tool (like ffmpeg, mencoder) which can do all this in one step?
Right now i do the whole process in two steps: VOB2MPEG and then change PAR with another tool.

mencoder has an aspect <ratio> flag and will repackage the VOB into an MPEG2 file in one go.

How does it deal with interleaved cells? Does it read the IFO? Any info please...
