Hi!
I'm looking for a freeware and simple m2v editor (make cut's, add still images... and resave it as m2v)

still can be treated as single I frame - so You may encode picture by HC and simply join still to the existing elementary stream by using simple binary copying (for DOS like systems it is copy /b %1 + %2 %3 where %1 and %2 are joined sources and %3 is result)

On the basis that you are cutting a DVD just remux them with muxman - just add your bits together - m2v1 (pt 1), still (set for as many seconds as you like), m2v (pt2). Add audio and subs (SUP format).
