Is it possible to make an mpeg1-video with mp3-sound, or must it be mp2 or mp1?
I've never seen such mpeg1 myself, but I thought the original point with mp3 was so the sound in an mpeg1-video would get even smaller. Mp3 is even backward compatible.
If it's possible, then why isn't it commonly used?

Well, obvoiusly, it IS possible, for otherwise the MPEG-1 File on my harddrive would have no sound, but it has. And it was encoded with TMPGenc, using LAME as MP3-Encoder.
Why it isnīt commonly used?
I suppose most of the people here use Mpeg-1 in order to produce VCDīs for their Standalone....you ever heard of a Standalone, that would play Mpeg-1 with Mp3 Sound? I donīt think so ;)
