I have a group of AVIs I'd like to re-encode since they only play on one DivX-compatible DVD player (which I suspect supports WMA).

AutoGK aborts after the analysis for every file tried. The log says this:

The sound listed in AutoGK says:

64 Kbps WMA2 2Ch

I went back earlier and installed all the WMP codecs from K-Lite Codec Pack mega, taking care of what was installed since I never use it now since for years have used AutoGK and XviD, but still no go.

What could be wrong here, pls?

Thx. :)

Since this is an old divx3 rip, you probably need the "DivX ;) audio" codec (which is a modified WMA audio codec).

You may also consider doing a lossless conversion to Mpeg4 ASP. Check http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=701578#post701578

AutoGK doesn't support WMA audio. Remove it completely from the AVI and convert it yourself and add it back into the reencoded AVI. That's one way. Or use something else for the job.
