Hi,

I demuxed a transported stream recording with ProjectX and got the DVB subtitles in son format (a lot of bmp images with the text and the son file).

Then I imported the son in DVDLab pro, and I see that that the program instead of showing the text that is in each bmp image shows the name of them. So the text of the first subtitles is "xxx1.bmp", the text of the second one, "xxxx2.bmp", etc.

I don't undestand it, where is the problem?, I thought there was no need of OCR if you have the son format because DVDLab pro could import the images. Well, I must have done a silly mistake or something.

Thank you in advance.

I copy here the first lines of the son file (there may be something wrong with the subtitle name, too long or I don't know):

st_format 2
Display_Start non_forced
TV_Type PAL
Tape_Type NON_DROP
Pixel_Area (0 575)

What are you looking at after import?
Are you looking at the grid with column headings of Start Time, End Time, Text, etc?
The Text column shows the names of bitmap files. Of course the Text column can't show the textual content of bitmaps.
To the right of the grid is a small preview box. It will show a preview of each bitmap.
You have to select a row in the grid to see its preview by clicking the row in the grid.

Thank you for answering.

I found out the problem was that the original name had blanks. I changed the name and then DVDLab imported correctly all the subs.

Anyway I only wanted to do this with DVDLab as a possible workaround to get watchables subtitles in a different format like idx/sub that could work with the conversion of the original mpeg-2 inside the transport stream into an mpeg-4/Xvid. But it hasn't worked so far, as I explain here: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1182495#post1182495
