View Full Version : MeGui keeps files locked

This is not very good.
Let's have a situation:
DVD is ripped and then I run the D2V creator. It demuxes the audio streams. Fine.
I delete the finished job from queue.
But if I want to, for whatever reason, delete the files in that folder, I can't until I quit MeGui. Why is that?

because megui opens the avs file everytime you select it as input. it cant be otherwise. try selecting another source and then delete the files...
i dont think any other program will be happy if you delete the source file while showing the preview..............

But the thing is I ONLY ran d2v creator, not Avisynth at all! I didn't even create a script at all - all I did was demux the audio streams.

uhm... interesting. please post it in the bug-tracker. we may have found a memory leak...

I have to play with it a little bit more, because what I tried just now was starting to demux something else, cancelled the job, and deleted the files no problem.
I will know more in a while.

Got it. If I let the demuxing finish, I cannot delete the files until quitting MeGui. Shall I post it there then?

yes, sure.

cannot reproduce here, although I don't use the same build as yours...;)
too easy to say that megui is the culprit.

it is. i just tested it. to reproduce open the d2v creator, just index something (dont stop it... let it go till it finishes). from there the file is locked.
probably the same problem is in some other parts also... that's probably why megui grows in memory until it crashes after opening many files.

I THINK the ifos can be deleted, but not the vobs and d2vs.

ok...I can reproduce with 3 vobs loaded. I had just tested with one vob before.
Does it work with old build ?

Just running a test with the 0.3.0.2002 and problem occurs also.
So, it's not the new code. \0/

well, i think the problem could be "old".

I feel important.

i hope it is it... if the problem comes from file handles we should check every file operation in megui... i hope it's limited to some code used in the d2v creator and One Click Encoder...
