View Full Version : How to get several "mini Blu-ray disk videos" on one DVD (DL)

Hi:),

I'm looking for a solution to burn several videos which are in a Blu-ray disk structure on one DVD(+R DL).

The Videos are already muxed in a "Blu-ray disk structure" by using the program "tsMuxeR" (I also still have the RAW-streams) and contain subtitles; the size of each video is about 1,15GB.

If I burn one of these videos on a DVD, it's playable in my Blu-ray Player. But as each video is only ~1,15GB, I want to burn more videos on a DVD...
Is this possible ? I don't want to loose quality if possible, so I just want to 'mux'..

How can I burn several HD videos (720p) containing "switchable" subtitles to a DVD(+R DL).? The videos are also in a "Blu-ray structure" and if I burn only one video it's playable in my Blu-ray player.

I hope you know what I mean and I hope you can help me:)

Hi,

I tried to carry put this answer written by musicman2311

if you want to use other than AVCHD spec, i did this for a test - 2 movies with menue (2-D)

1. select to create Blu-Ray disc in Nero 8
2. use dummy videos from cam corder *.m2ts
3. author menue and create files (BDMV) - nero will always recode those movie clips, hence i use very small ones

now you have a playable file folder (BDMV) with 00000.m2ts for first movie and 00001.m2ts for 2nd and 00002.2mts for menue.

4.create BDMV for the blu ray files seperately by using e.g.
Tsmuxer - each output will have complete bdmv folder
with a stream called 00001.m2ts and playlist and clipinf accordingly

5. rename the tsmuxer output files (*.m2ts, *.pls, *. clpinf) to match the above created structure with menue

6. exchange the orginial files from above with the renamed ones

7. hex edit the playlist file, so it points to the renamed *.m2ts file. (in character field you might see 00001.m2ts - change it to e.g. 00000.m2ts for example)

that's it - i have tried that on a BD-RE on PS3 - hope it helps

..but when I put the finished "mini Blu-Ray Disc" into my Blu-ray Player, it said that the Disc was incompatible :(

What did I do wrong ?

I just selected to create Blu-ray disc in Nero8 (NeroVision), added some dummy videos (.m2ts-file from BluRay-structure), authored a menue and created the BluRay-structure (Nero recoded the BluRay clips thus I used very small videos).
After the video was recoded and the Blu-ray structure was created by Nero, I 'muxed' the videos I want to have on my mini BluRay-disc later on into the blu-ray structure by using the program tsMuxeR. I renamed the m2ts-files to 00000.m2ts + 00001.m2ts and exchanged them with the original (recoeded) ones. I also exchanged the files from the PLAYLIST and CLIPINF folders, of course I kept the files which stand for the menue.
After that I used HxD Hex Editor to hex edit the 00000.mpls file which must point to the renamed 00000.m2ts and not to 00001.m2ts ...

Did I ignore/forget anything?
Did I do anything wrong?

I hope you could help me... :)

EDIT:\ When I select to create an AVCHD instead of a Blu-ray disc In Nero8, the video is playable..
Why that?
When I just burn 1 single video in a BluRay structure on a DVD, its playable as well. why is it here just as AVCHD playable ? Or did i do any mistake`?

hope u could help me..

Seems you're doing all right.
Did you burn blu-ray structure as UDF 2.50? (this is necessary)
Try to burn blu-ray structure with menues created by Nero with dummy files, does it play?

Yes, I did of course ;)

ok, i will try...

so, i tried to burn blu-ray structure with menues of the dummy files (created by Nero), but it didnt work as well.
it just works if I select "Create AVCHD"..
But funnily enough, if I burn a single video without menue as Blu-ray structure on DVD, it works..

where is the problem ?

or is there even a difference if I burn several videos as AVCHD instead of "Create blu-ray disk" ^^?

The problem then seems to be with your blu-ray player. Which is it?
What blu-ray profile does it support? 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 2.0?
P.S. I have PS3 and this method works just fine!

i have the Panasonic DMP-BD30, and every single video works when i mux them into a blu-ray structure using tsMuxeR .

but when i want to get several videos to a disk, i have to select AVCHD instead of "Create Blu-ray disc" in Nero8.
otherwise the disc is incompatible
