Sometimes i close Media Player Classic but i have to kill it on task manager, this happens os all MPC versions (HC or not) and on all versions.

It's really annoying, what can be the cause of this?

I'm using last version of K-Lite Mega Codec Pack and i'm on Windows XP SP3.

There are a few rare stability issues with MPC. They are difficult to reproduce, so that is why it haven't been resolved yet.

The only time I run into something like this is if a codec/splitter or AviSynth script has hung. What sort of filters do you have loaded when this happens?

Mostly MP4 (AVC and AAC) files (CoreAVC and ffdshow to audio, using Haali Media Splitter).
But sometimes happens with XviD and others as well.

All MPC internal filters are disabled.

I'm using MPC-HC 1.1.774.0 now and the problem seems to be solved (i think).

I open various video files to test, some with subtitles and the player is closing just fine.

This hasn't happened to me once since I started using the internal filters exclusively. When I used to use Haali and FFDShow it would happen from time to time.
