I have a DVDrip (.avi) that is split into 2 'CDs'. I ran it through virtualdub to get audio into a .wav file. Using tmpgenc i took the video source from the .avi and audio from the .wav file. After encoding i MUXed em. I ended up with an .mpg which I then tried to burn in Nero as VCD. Nero complains that the mpg is not VCD compliant and so I let Nero encode it. When it is done burning and I throw it in my DVD player the audio is OK but the picture is very much degraded and constantly stutters. Is there something I can do to fix this?

Did you select the right system when you muxed? You should select Mpeg1 video-cd, and f it's not a standard but xvcd, select mpeg1 video-cd (non-standard). So don't select mpeg1 system!

Don't let Nero recode the hole thing.
Either recode/remux it yourself to make Nero happy or let Nero skip its compatability test.
