Hello,

I have a 2 disc (DVD DL) AVCHD movie that was converted from 25 fps to 23.976fps...it plays fine on a PS3 or Standalone BD player...the only problem was the way the audio was encoded created a "crackling" in the background...I ripped the .ac3 from the NTSC DVD, demuxed the video from the 2 .m2ts streams & audio from the original .m2ts files then remuxed the 2 video files together w/the .ac3 files into a Blu-ray disc/BDMV & Certificate folders (using Tsmuxer for the demuxing & remuxing)...it's completely synced up & plays on my PC perfectly...it's a total of about 12.5 gigs in size...it's set as profile 4.1 & 23.976 fps @1920x1080...everything seems correct...once I burned it to a BD25 (I don't know how to split the file to burn to 2 seperate DVD DL discs) it won't play...both the PS3 & Sony BDP-S350 accept the disc but it seems like it's going to play fine...all i get is a black screen, no video or audio...I can't figure out what the problem is & I don't want to continue wasting BD25s yet...does anyone have any suggestions??

Hi!I have a 2 disc (DVD DL) AVCHD movie that was converted from 25 fps to 23.976fps...I don't know how to split the file to burn to 2 seperate DVD DL discsPerhaps I'm misunderstanding something but, your two statements are confusing:

1) If you initially knew how to create a 2 disc DL DVD of an AVCHD movie (and convert it from 25Fps to 23.976Fps), why would you no longer know how to do this?

2) On the other hand, couldn't you work with each of the two original DL DVDs SEPARATELY, to swap in the replacement audio?

I never said I was the one who originally converted it :)
I own the DVDs (extended & theatrical versions) but this was a rip from an HDTV source (not sure if was satellite or cable) which was why I was able to get the audio to "fix it"...I have been able to take the 2 .m2ts streams from the 2 DL DVDs, remove the .ac3 tracks & replace it w/the one I ripped...it's totally in synce but almost 12 gigs in size so I figured I would put it on a BD25 but I've gotten 2 successful burns that haven't played in 2 different Blu-ray players...I now know how to split that back to 2 DL DVDs but I kind of wanted to put it on a single BD25, it's much more convenient...if anyone has any idea why this wouldn't work, please let me know...if I figure it out, I will tell you how
