View Full Version : My internet tries to connect to an address at random, how to fix it?

I'm new to this but i need help from someone out there i downloaded a program and now at start up and random my internet try's to connect to this address http://update.windowssettings.org/2/update.php. i then get the message that this is a Reported Web Forgery! i have tried to find it's location but have had no luck. PLEASE HELP.

OK, sorry for jumping to conclusions. I just don't know of any valid commercial programs that contain hijack code.

there are a lot, starting from all those antispyware-wannabes that actually are infections... however, never trust those apps that promise the heaven... they're all full of crap.
search for and read the reviews on appropriate and competent websites before installing anything... including antivirus softwares.
