why not get *.m2v file ,but *.mpv file while demux mpeg-2 *.ts file use txmuxer 1.8.4?
My tsmuxer version is 1.8.4.
When I demux *.ts file which remuxed with mpeg 2 and one audio track;I got one *.mpv file ,it was not the exact file(*.m2v) that I wanted.
And when I demux *.ts file which remuxed with vc-1 and one audio track;I got one *.vc1 file ,but I can not play it with powerdvd 8,why, It only did well when I demux *.ts file which remuxed with h.264 and one audio track,it demux the ts file, and produced *.h264 file ,and it can play with powerdvd 8,all the audio I demuxed with tsmuxer ,they sounded well.

it was not the exact file(*.m2v) that I wanted.

When you demux a container you get the raw stream that is inside the container, if the stream is m2v it will output m2v, if the stream is mpv it will output mpv, get where i'm going with this????

thx,but when I demux *.ts (mpeg-2 +audio, the same ts file) with tsdemux (exe file),I can really get *.m2v file ,why?
And how about demux *.ts(vc1+audio),I can not get the right vc1 raw stream(*.vc1), powerdvd can not recognize the vc1 file that I demuxed from *.ts with Tsmuxer ?

What makes you think that there is any other difference but file extention?
M2V stands for mpeg-2 video
MPV stands for mpeg-x video, which can be mpeg-2 too

If powerdvd can't play raw VC-1 stream, this isn't mean that the stream is incorrect. This means that powerdvd just can't play raw VC-1 streams.
