View Full Version : Creating a track with an Hidden Easter Egg?

HI
I have a 45 min 16x9 track. The client would like a :30 sec section of the track to have the option to press enter and take the user to another title then return where it left off.
I've created the track with 2 scenes (chapters) and place a dummy sub picture between these. Drew a small button and adjusted the highlight. That particular cell now has a button hanging in the Scenario Editor which allows me to attach that button to the other title.
The crazy part of all this is that it will not work in any players!
Could someone give me some detail steps in creating this type of functionality?

What will not work?
Jump to the other title?
Return to where it left off?

Thanks Man.....You've always managed to help me out!
It won't jump to the other title. I was after the steps it takes to make a :30 second section of a track be able to jump to a new title then return back to the point it left off.
There's some missing part of the puzzle here :(

First - you cant return back to the point it left off, this is only possible using menu button, not from command. You can return back to the start of a specific cell only.
It won't jump to the other title.
What have you done - step by step........, your button command is....??
..or can you make an identical dummy project available somewhere?

If the easter egg is put in a menu domain(VGM or VTS) the clip should return back to the exact point(using resume)

No - this requires a jump initiated by the remote menu (title) button, if jump is initiated by CallSS (as in the button command) the author has to specify a resume cell in command e.g. "CallSS RSM=2, AngleMenu"

Yes...I should have said a cell point

I set up 2 scenes 30 seconds apart, I then place a dummy subtitle graphic in the number 1 subpicture track.
I then adjusted the subtitle to conform to this 30 sec portion of the track.
I draw a dummy button and align the highlight. I drag the track into the Scenario editor and see that the cell has a button.
Set the button command to Jump Title
Not sure what I'm doing wrong but it fails to work on any set top.
