I used dvd shrink for years with no problems! Then my computer dies and i buy a new one, install dvdshrink and now I cant get it to work! It keeps burning the movie as a file folder on the disc and not as a movie. I've tried to research and read all instructions and check all of the settings. I really have no idea why it is doing this. Anyone know how to correct this?

Hi!i'm using it with nero 8If in your DVD Shrink setup, you have it set to use NERO to automatically burn, that's likely the cause of your problem. Since DVD Shrink has not been updated for perhaps three years now, it is very likely that the "SDK"/interface with current versions of NERO no longer functions 100% correctly.
Presuming that what I've described is your situation, I'd suggest you turn OFF the automatic burn with NERO feature and burn manually - with either NERO or a Doom9 Forum favorite and the "PC World" magazine "Tool of the Month", (freeware) IMGBurn...

Just downloaded IMGBurn. Pretty simple to use? Could you give a brief description? Thru dvd shrink i just save as a file then on IMGBurn do Write Image File To Disc?

DVD Shrink will only output as a DVD File Structure or an ISO Image File of the DVD Structure.......... if you want a ISO image file change the Select backup target: to ISO Image File in the Backup! menu, if you want a video file to playback in a media player or console then DVD Shrink is not the program you need to use.

You can use the output from DVD Shrink in ImgBurn regardless of the settings - if you output files, use the build mode.
