I'm trying to play HD-DVD's w/ PowerDVD and I get an error that says the following:

Fail to enable VMR. Please update DirectX and check your system meets minimum system requirements ....... Error Code = 0118.

I DL'd and installed the latest Direct X, still no luck.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Power DVD , no luck.
I DL'd the latest ATI drivers , no luck.

I'm pretty much stuck and I'm not sure where to go form here.
Any help would be appreciated.

what OS? Vista or XP?
if it's XP get .net framework 3.5... it comes with EVR and try to use it instead of VMR.
dont ask... M$ is weird...
try also updating your video card drivers.

Do you have AnyDVD installed? If not, is your system HDCP compliant?
