Hi all
I am downloading subtitles in either SUB format or SRT format
converting them to SSA and then add them in virtualdub to a DIVX using subtitler filter
this is frameserved to CCE, all goes well the subtitles are added and it looks great on the computer. the final output is ofcorse SVCD :)
BUT .... in my TV played on HYUNDAI DVD player the subtitles are going a little off the screen at the bottom, WHY IS THAT ????

Many (most?) TVs have overscan. Try putting the top of your subtitles somewhere in the 360-to-400 range (this is where they are on most DVDs).

:) Hi,

I am interested to hear more on your way to add subtitles to mpg (SVCD). Could you elaborate a little bit more on your procedure? How you add .ssa in VirtualDub to a DivX - does it mean that you have as a source .avi (DivX) that you convert to .mpg (SVCD)?
