View Full Version : Getting details on x264 .mkv files

Hey mates, whenever I highlight an x264 .mkv in Windows Explorer I only get very basic details on the file. My question is how would I go about getting more in depth details (resolution, length, bitrate, etc) like with other kinds of video files?


This is what I get with .mkv's:

I currently have the CCCP installed so I think there's nothing wrong with my codecs, they just may not be configured right. I tried playing around with them for a while and haven't been able to get anything :(


Can anyone help?

OK, what are these files and where did you get them? And what did you fix?

He likely enabled the shell extension feature of Haali's splitter. If using it by itself then (I think) you need to run the installer again to enable this option. Thumbnails can certainly be enabled/disabled in its config.
