View Full Version : Problem with Nero Vision 5

I have an AVCHD camcorder. I am attempting to produce H264 video files for playback on an Xbox 360 using Nero Vision 5 (ver 5.3.9). The problem is that the MP4 output from Vision has hung or 'stuck' frames. Even when I skip around in the file it will only play for a few seconds then hang on a frame while the audio continues.

Has anyone else seen this?

Here are the specifics:
Input format: AVCHD M2TS files, 1080 res HD.
Output format: Nero Digital AVC, 1080 res, 30fps, 7mbit, stereo, 2-pass.

The problem seems to show up with longer movies (say 15 min) and not small clips. Also it seems specific to 2-pass mode.

I have also seen the problem with DV input files so I don't think it is specific to AVCHD. I've been using Nero Recode for years so I didn't expect to see this type of problem with Vision. Unfortunately I need to use some sort of editor to stitch together all the smaller 'scene' files that the camera produces.

Hi!

Without getting into specifics of your problem, I'd suggest that you significantly update the version of NERO you're using. If I remember correctly, it wasn't until v.5.9 (perhaps 3-4 years ago) that the NERO package first properly processed DVD format. Your version of NERO pre-datesH264 and true MP4 by at least a couple of years...

Yes, just to clarify it is only Nero Vision that is 5.3.9.0. I am running the absolute latest (as of about a week ago) version of Nero 8. My copy of Nero Burning Rom states 8.3.6.0.
