My memory being what it is i have forgotten what it was called but i do remember how it was used i hope if i explain to you lot u can work out what the software was and hopefully give me a link to the guide that i remember i printed and worked from.

I had (and now have again) some vob files i needed to join into 1 big vob file with its associated ifo file, with the software i used 5 years or so ago i had to rename all the vob files sequentially 1_1 , 1_2 etc and then i remember the software produced the vob file and then i think another programme created the ifo file, I know its not much to go on but any help with either a new programme (free one :D) that can do the job or a name for the old one that u think i may have used + a online guide please would be brilliant thanks

Why do you have VOB files but no IFO file?

I do have ifo files

What i am doing is i have a Doctor Who DVD when i decrypt the four episodes of the story i have four seperate vob files each with the ifo file thats associated with it. I want to join the vob files together, which will then need a new ifo file, so that i can encode ( using AGK ) just one avi file

You don't need an IFO file to encode to AVI.

Thats good news :). U mean i just load the large vob file into AGK and it will recognise any commentary tracks and subs etc ?
It never occured to me to do that because i have always clicked on the IFO file when loading vobs into AGK :o

I don't know specifically about AutoGK, but what I meant was that there are other ways to do things than with AutoGK.

If you really must have one VOB tell your ripper to make one VOB.

Unless they are in different VTSs, in which case, you'll want to join them (assuming the same Aspect Ratio). VobEdit can do this - there's a guide to joining clips here (http://web.archive.org/web/20060515075320/www.ifoedit.com/joinclip.html).
