nero error listing ifo file

hi all, I feel a bit stupid but I'm having some hard times simply backing up some movies from dvd9 to 2dvd5...
once I used dvd2one but since it's shareware now I tried with ifoedit using the guide of the main site, I've done all things listed there but when burning with nero6 in video mode I got the messages:
-compatibility check failed, output could not be readable
-non critic error could cause wrong writing
I tried and the disc cannot be read by my stand-alone

I tried to open the Disc1 folder with DVDshrink but it doesn't find the ifo nor the bup files... but they're in the folder and ifoedit modified them too!
I tried also to use imgtolls classic but neither that can find the ifo.. anyway the ifo and bup are there in the folder, both 72kb.

I can't give you the exact messages bacause can't switch nero from italian language, I could post some screens but don't know how to do.

I hope someone can help me.

Hi!

I'd suggest that for splitting the DVD9 to 2 DVD5s you should use the very old original, easy-to-use freeware "DVDFab" (NOT to be confused with any of the several DVDFab products available from "Fengtao" at dvdidle.com) to split the ENTIRE DVD (including menus).

You can obtain the original freeware DVDFab at:

BTW - As far as I know, DVD2One has been a commercial product (neither shareware nor freeware) from its inception...

As you so accurately described, regarding DVD2One, it's available as "trialware" (Per your link to the homepage) - However, it's crippled:The trial period is 30 days.
The movie-only and join mode are limited to a total of 2 hours. Audio Remaster mode is limited to 2 albums of 4 songs each.This is neither freeware nor shareware, in the true sense of the word...

thank you setarip, making the job with dvdfab made me remember how many ifo should be in the video_ts folder. now I'll try to learn better to use better ifoedit to keep some few extra for certain movies.

regarding dvd2one I used it much time ago on another pc and can't use it anymore now.
