I have some A/V files on my computer that I found from about four years ago and for whatever reason they don't have any file extension. I opened them up with media center classic and they play fine, but I want to use the audio from them for another project that I'm getting ready to work on. I've used a tool to extract audio before, but it's not working with any of these. I looked into it and the tool I was using apparently only works with .mkv files, so I don't know what to do at this point. Is there a way to extract the audio, or is there nothing I can do?
Thanks.

I honestly dont' remember :\ I know I used an older version of adobe premier to get them on my computer (but that's only because it's all I've ever used) but I've never used any one method for encoding, mainly because I've been exploring several different methods for years (on and off...mostly off :P) I still don't understand encoding well enough, but that's my own fault, I procrastinate a lot

GSpot? I'll have to google it. I've heard of it, but I've never used it. I'll get back to you when I find it :) thx
