How to open Avi file

I may be stupid but I simply can't figure out how to get DVD2SVCD to convert an avi (divx with mp3 audio) file.

I try to open the file under the "conversion" tab where I normally choose my (largest) IFO when converting DVD's...I select "all files" and then choose the avi.

All DVD2SVCD does then is exit by itself...

Can anyone explain this to me ?
How does one open AVI files to start converting those ....?

Try this:

Go to Misc.Setting tab and check avi2svcd. Now go back to conversiontab and try again to load your DivX.

oh, ok, thanks a lot, found it....

just one problem now, the source file seems to be 23.977fps ? (also reported in Virtualdub) and avi2svcd says it will convert but when it starts, Besweet.exe keeps on crashing..

I've tried it using both 48-44.1 conversion and no conversion....
I think the avi has mp3 audio (its a divx) but I'm not sure how to check that.
