Wow! i was just about to ask the same question but from a different starting point. So here goes..
ProjectX is a great program for demuxing into elemental streams audio, video and subtitles and fixes up quite a few transmission errors as it goes. Now what I'm after is a "Reverse ProjectX" that accepts an audio, video and subtitle track and very importantly be able to specify the page number of the subtitle track - in Australia it is 801 to produce a MPEG TS file that when played back in either a Topfield or Beyonwiz PVR will actually decode the subs. In the case of the Topfield it has its own header and in ProjectX you can select a drop down menu to add this if you wish. The Beyonwiz (out of Korea and at the present time only available in Australia - we are good technology guinea pigs) link http://www.beyonwiz.com.au/DP_P2_overview.asp for those interested. It has now a fairly standard TS header but in earlier firmware versions it was a bit odd and required fixing before you could do anything with it - MPEGStreamclip worked for me.
It would be great if the author of ProjectX could be encourage to add this facility as it is I believe the missing link in software for DVB HDTV editing.
