i have problems with SVCD subs. my philips 951 player play it well, but sometimes the actor stop to talking, and the subs stay. only go when the actors talk another time.

it's very strange because i play the movie again and in the same scene the subs play fine.

i tried cvd subs (did't work), i tried SVCD subs with VDImager and VCDXbuild (work's with the problems i sad)

The question is: submux have problems ??? my dvd player have problems ??? i made something wrong ???? PBC is the problem ?????

PD.: permanet subs works fine.

Sure sounds like a player problem to me.

Go for permanent subs, dude. Don't rely on the vagaries of your player. I've had great results with VobSub.

This is a mail i send to the dvd2svcd author:

(I'm spanish, i hope you understand me :) )

Hello, today I have done my first test of nonpermanent subtitles in SVCD with the last version of DVD2SVCD 1.06b1. My DVD-player (Philips-951) display them but there is a problem. A subtitle does not disappear until the following one appears! If anybody speech while 2 minutes, the last subtitle displayed remains this 2 minutes!!!...
The error isn't in my DVD because in the file that it has generated by the DVD2SVCD of subtitle timecodes i can see this:

es100001.bmp 00:00:31,98 00:00:55,28
es100002.bmp 00:00:55,38 00:00:57,28
es100003.bmp 00:00:57,38 00:01:12,28
es100004.bmp 00:01:12,38 00:01:14,24
es100005.bmp 00:01:14,34 00:01:19,16

es100007.bmp 00:01:25,82 00:01:27,88

100 ms between each subtitle, from the begining to the end of the movie...without pause!

Thanks for read me !! :)
