I have ripped Die Hard 4 to the HDD. But when playing the M2TS file in PowerDVD (Ultra) it only plays the commentary and there is no option to chose another audio track.

I want to be able to play the M2TS and not from an ISO which does work, ultimately i want to stream to the PS3 to play. I tried to play the M2TS file in the PS3 and the same thing only commentary.

I tried TsRemux and TsMuxer and stripped the commentary out but it just leaves no audio playback on PowerDVD and PS3, tried TsRemux leaving the commentary but still plays only the commentary.

I also demuxed them and put them back together with no luck.

Please help, ;o)

Main movie file - 264
Main DTS-HD - dts
Commentary - ac3

PS3 cannot play DTS. It's no AVCHD standard. Convert with eac3to into ac3.

Maybe the latest firmware of PS3 can play DTS, I don't know.

Thanks

But last i herd that PS3 latest firmware can play DTS-HD MA. I have the latest firmware 2.41

Maybe its still not working?

It's not the PS3 because the same thing happens in Power DVD from the M2TS file. Power DVD plays fine through the ISO.

I think it is some sought of coding in the movie file, it won't let you play the main audio file straight from the M2TS, maybe some type of protection. But you can seperate the Audio and Video just how to join them and play the main audio file?

Use the search. See the guide in my signature. you will have issue playing the M2TS straight from a rip. Convert it to an ISO or demux with eac3to and change the audio to AC3 if you want to stream to the PS3.

Arcsoft Total Theatre player can play the M2TS file without any commentary and plays the main DTS-HD track.

after converting to ac3 will the Audio coming from through the PS3 to the Amp be LPCM (HD audio).
