Hello,

i have the following problems. I want to backup some bluray discs and i don't know how to do that exactly.

I have two pal dvds (code B)

Die Hard 4.0 and John Rambo

with aacskeys i think i can read out the cps key which i can use with the bluray ripper but for aacskeys i need a volume uniqe key.

How can i find out that ?

my software/equipment:
bluray burner from notebook (sony vaio vgn-ar71s)
windvd 9 plus bluray

so how can i do that

my trieys: try the easiest thing, anydvd but anydvd says that i need a critical update for john rambo and i should update but nothing works.

with die hard anydvd decrypt it but then..what ? windvd cannot play the disc.

So i hope to get some informative answers here.

thanks,
venorm

It's all been covered before, if you have purchased AnyDVD and have the most upto date version you won't have any problem's, also both of the movies you mentioned are not extremly new, i have ripped both succesfully with AnyDVD and eac3to.

okay, so the only problem is the trial version ?

for now, are there any other possibilities which are a little bit more informative, like get the volume key using aacskeys and get the cps key and then decrypt the dvd ?

If so, which software should i use ?

1. The trial version works just like the full version, just time limited.

2. You do not obtain any keys yourself - AnyDVD does all of the decryption on the fly, automatically.

3. Once AnyDVD is correctly installed, all you will see is an unencrypted disc. Decryption is therefore completed - you do not require ANY additional decryption software.

4. The name is 'Blu-ray Disc' or 'BD'; there is no such thing as a 'Blu-ray DVD' :-p

ahh okay,

but i have the following problem:

die hard is decrypted perfectly but if i insert john rambo anydvd says it needs a crictical update and if i want to update it says trial versions have no acces to the slysoft server.

ok now i test it with die hard 4.0

but i cannot play the video. here are my steps:

1. anydvd hd trial version decrypt the bd+. after that playing with windvd 9 works fine
2. using anydvd to copy the contents to the hdd (the copy function from anydvd tray)

3. playback of the m2ts files with vlc player does not work (video has many crazy blocks and lines)

4. using imgburn to create an iso from the bdmv folder (udf 2.50) selected

5. iso is recognized as bd video but windvd cannot play it - nothing happens

Now whats my error ?

I've had no problems viewing Live Free or Die Hard BD from a mounted ISO created using AnyDVD HD and ImgBurn with PowerDVD7 or PowerDVD8.
