Framerate Question

I've followed the guide for how to select FORCED FILM in DVD2AVI when the movie is at 29fps and has a % higher than 95%, or if it just says FILM. However, I have a movie with 23.976fps and it just says FILM, so do I need to select FORCED FILM, NONE, or do I eventually need to do IVTC? Please help.

Try this:
- re-open your project that say 23.97 fps
- make sure Force Film is off
- preview the video again (in other words, press F5)

I think you'll find that dvd2avi now says the frame rate is 29.97 fps.

Anyway, to answer your question, if it just says FILM (regardless of whether it says 29.97 or 23.97), you should save the project with Force Film on. And Force Film and IVTC are mutually exclusive - you never do both together.
