Hi all,
I have succeeded to import ac3 to quicktime pro and create a nice 720p movie with AC3 for apple TV (*.mov).

Strangely, the audio stream now starts 2..3 seconds later than the picture - I can see a start and end time and it looks like the ends of both are aligned.

Does anybody know how i could possibly change the start and end time? as far as i can tell the resulting delay is constant.

thanks for any help.

Use DelayCut to cut the first 2..3 sec of the original ac3

by the way - i checked - length of audio and video files is exactly same, but it seems the Quicktime muxer decides to add some delay to both start and end time of the audio.

I had imported audio on top of a video, will try the other way round next

ok - I believe I found it - when you select all in a video file in quicktime and then add a sound file, the cursers of the video file selections might not be at 0.00 always. Making sure with mouse click on selection cursers position them wher you want, e.g. 0.00 for start. then save to mov . result looks good (file properties) - will test on appleTV next
