Ok, I am about to test this on my stand alone, but it appears that with the help of ifoedit .82b2 I can now copy Phantom Menace w/ the angles... It plays perfectly with power player, and the ifo file looks fine too!
Great work Derrow!

EDIT:
well, I guess I jumped ahead of myself and didn't let it play fully...
on my stand-alone.. it seems not to like the new multi angle copy..
it plays the english intro, then it plays the spanish intro and has some blocks in it when it is switching...
it then keeps replaying the intro...
very strange.. power dvd plays it perfectly....
I guess Derrow ALMOST has it...
What do you think, Derrow?

I don't think Derrow has angle removing built in there yet..
I did try checking the remove angle button, and then burned it.
The spanish intro still showed, but at least the dvd plays straight through now, you just get 2 intros and a spanish lesson... Not too bad!! I need to brush up on my espanol anyway ;)

if i rip the main movie VOB files in file mode, not choosing an angle, what should I do with the new IfoEdit to make it work correctly? it has two angles for the movie, its Scary Movie 2

All I had to do was open the the correct VTS_0x_0.IFO, click on VOB extras, have the left side checked like normal (like in the guide), and then on the right i checked everything (in the new beta2 version of ifoEdit). Now I don't know if you are SUPPOSED to check everything on the right, but it did what I wanted it to, which was to strip angle information. I saved to a different folder, and tested with PowerDVD XP. Worked great, so opened the new VIDEO_TS.IFO, and clicked Get VTS sector and Region Free. Everything plays fine from the hard drive, have yet to burn it because I dont have my dvr-a03 yet...
ALSO: I tried getting rid of the actual angles in the VOB's using vStrip, which did get rid of the angle, but would not work for me then using ifoEdit. It seems, like Derrow says, that you need to backup the VOB's from the DVD exactly the way they are.

Yep, that's how Phant Menace was too.. perfect with power dvd... When you play it in a stand alone, it will probably play all of the angles. At least that's what my stand alone does.

i had success as well with "the mask of zorro"
the first chapter (multiangle) shows up in english and as far as i've seen there is no way to switch to another language but it's not a big problem seeing all the things ifoedit is already able to achieve
a tip for those who have a H+, create a "VIDEO_TS" folder in the root folder of your HD and place all the files within to get all the buttons in "station"

WZ_Man have you tried playing the movies with WinDVD instead of PowerDVD? PowerDVD played Snow White perfect but on WinDVD chapter 2 cycles and keeps playing itself. I dont have Hollywood + to try that out. If you can get WinDVD to have problems then maybe using that program to test the DVD before burning it would be a good way to test it.

Hmm... Yeah, I may have to try that. I have a copy laying around here somewhere...

Testing with power/win dvd will not truly give you a good indication as to how it will play on standalone. If you rip the movie in file mode (not movie mode), and take it into ifoedit .82b2, load ifo of main movie and in vob extras, leave all of the defaults alone and add the checkbox to correct angle pointers. don't check the remove angle pointers. If you do this, you will have no bugs during playback on your standalone.

So I can rip all the VOB files of shrek, have the 6 VOBs rempeg to the correct size and then run the ifo in IFOedit click what you said, click angle pointers and then create new IFO Files, and it will work fine?

@Sat4n
> I did notice, however that angle 2 is still in the VOB, and on your site it says the b2 version removes angles from the VOB as well.
Nop, it does not remove Angles! It is just able to remove angle-references out of the VOB files, if you ripped the movie just with one angle.
> Also one thing was odd, in the new IFO it shows now an angle 3, which was never there before.
Woops! I'll check that! :)

Yes right! It should work so!
But I'm not shure if ReMPEG2 is able to correctly transcode a movie with Angles. It seems to have a problem, if the GOPs are not closed.
Yes, and you must click 'adjust angle pointers'.
Never use 'adjust angle pointers' and 'remove angle pointers' together! Do only use one of the options. (I forgot to take care about that, in IfoEdit) :)

Derrow, I have done both of these individually. Each having similar, yet different results.
Neither work on my stand-alone player though.
Are you still working on tweaking the angle processing?
Thanks,
WZ

Not right now. But I will tweak into this on weekend.

You don't have to rempeg shrek. Just strip the audio and it fits on a disk.

Okay when I rip shrek, i get 5.18gig, strip it I have like 4.8 or something, and I need to get down to 4.3 obviously, but I have noticed that at the very end, the last chapter is like 20 minutes long and I know its all that Karaoke shit, but when I rip the angle 1 it still brings all that crap over, and ideas? this is a complicated movie.

Try going into smart ripper and not selecting the last chapter.
Hope this helps!

@derrow,
have done the matrix r1 5 times now.
smartripper backup mode
ifoedit, strip streams, create new ifos, correct tables, adjust angle pointers, NOT remove angle pointers.
rempeg fails.
hummmmmmmmmm....

ReMpeg has problems with MultiAngle movies I've heard that before so I don't know

If you rip just 1 angle with smartripper, use the option 'Remove Angle pointers'. (Cause you want a Movie without angles)
If you rip the whole VOB files, then use 'Adjust Angle pointers'.
