A StaxRip user reported sync issues with Casino Royal so I tried to rip it in order to improve my knowledge about how to rip DVD's with nasty structure/protection. I wasn't any more successful.

I've ripped the DVD using DVDFab, user used RI4M and/or AnyDVD and reported a delay of 85119 ms, first I opened it using vStrip GUI, I've replaced the original first VOB file with one created with vStrip trimming of suspecious cells. This seemed to work first as the two audio streams were sync and the reported delay was only -192ms but subtitles ripped using VSRip lost sync completely. Second try was using PgcDemux, the title set has only one PGC. This resulted also in the reported large delay. Maybe I should try to reauthor with DVD Shrink.

Has anybody successfully ripped this DVD without manually syncing audio and subtitle streams or is anybody seeking for a challange?

@stax

If the R2 version uses the same type of copy protection used for the R1 version, you should be able to readily, properly and successfully, "rip" Casino Royale to your hard drive and compress with DVD Shrink from within RipIt4me - or compress with another program that you favor.

If not, I's suggest you return the DVD to the place of purchase in exchange for a new replacement DVD...

Just wondering if anyone has any more info on this title? I have the R1 dvd, and am having a similar problem. I ripped to ISO using RI4M +DVDDecrypter, and the ISO plays fine, no audio delays (I use XBMC on an xbox to play media from my PC on my HDTV). But recently I tried re-encoding it using MeGUI, and end up with a huge audio delay... several seconds. Wondering if I'm choosing the wrong audio stream or something?

Thanks...
