Hello,
I'm having an issue with DVDFab HD Decrypter on my PC running Vista Ultimate. The program simply doesn't "see" any DVD writer connected to the PC. The "source" dropdown menu bar is empty, it doesn't show any drive letter so I can't select the source device and decrypt my discs.
I'm currently using version 5.0.3.0 but I run into the same problem even using older versions. Any advice?
Thanks.

Hi!

1) Is your DVD burner internal or external?

2) If you run IMGBurn, does it acknowledge your burner?

Hi,
the DVD writer is internal and it's perfectly recognized by Nero Burning Rom, AnyDVD, etc (Yes I tried to disable AnyDVD). I don't have ImgBurn installed at the moment.

The "source" dropdown menu bar is empty, it doesn't show any drive letter so I can't select the source device and decrypt my discs.1) Does this problem exist only before you've put a to-be-copied DVD in the burner, or does it continue to exist after you've placed a to-be-copied DVD in the burner?

2) Does this problem exist with ALL or just some specific to-be-copied DVDs?

Hi,
the problem continued to exist even when a disc was inserted in the DVD writer and I tested it with several discs (both originals and back up) and nothing changed.
Anyways, yesterday night I reinstalled the whole operating system from scratch and now everything works fine! I haven't installed AnyDVD yet and I feel that it could be the cause of this incompatibility.

I reinstalled the whole operating system from scratch and now everything works fine!Congratulations! - Although you might have first tried performing a simple "System Restore"...
