I'm sorry if this question is noobish, I am just trying to learn the basics here.

I have the files of a movie I would like to burn to a DVD to play on my DVD player:

VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VIDEO_TS.VOB
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_0.VOB
VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_02_0.BUP
VTS_02_0.IFO
VTS_02_0.VOB
VTS_02_1.VOB
VTS_02_2.VOB
VTS_02_3.VOB
VTS_02_4.VOB
VTS_02_5.VOB
VTS_02_6.VOB
VTS_02_7.VOB
VTS_02_8.VOB

The problem is I'm just really not sure where to start. Also, the total file size is 7.67 GB. Do I have to have a dual layer disk for this?

Just play the original DVD on your player!

Get ImgBurn (www.imgburn.com) and use build mode.

Hi!I am just trying to learn the basics here.Since you are "just trying to learn the basics", since many DVDs contain "special" or newer copy protection, I'd ask you whether you've played the DVD "package" (as a "DVD", not simply individual .VOBs) that you "ripped" from your original DVD to your hard drive, to make certain that you've created a good "rip"...

That is very easy for you to do that,
You can find a DVD copy software, choose all your original DVD files, then burn them to your DVD,
If your DVD burner support DVD9, witch suport 8.5G size ,you only have one for them.
If your DVD burnner only support DVD5(4.7G), affter you burned one, the System will Tips you to Insert another one! Then you insert another DVD5.
When you playing your DVD on your DVD player, after you have watched the first one, your can insert another one for continue!

Note: Your burned files must from all your original DVD files!

Sorry, Eric1042, but that's not true. You cannot simply copy a DL DVD on two single layer discs. You have to split the DVD properly, and that requires some specific software, and some skills. Some DVD copiers can split the DL DVDs automatically, but certainly not the "System" or your burner.

Thanks for the comments so far, I'm starting to learn a bit. What software would you recommend for "splitting" the files?

@rob91

This is stinking of rule 6. Please clarify to me in a PM how you got these files and why you can't just play your original DVD on your player. I'll re-open the thread if you dispel the rule 6 concerns.
