Thanks DVD2SVCD that you have a new version of your great program. I hope that CCE freezings belong to the past. But I have one question:
What is the different between BiCubicResize and BilinearResize in this new version?
What must I select to get the best quality?
Can this option improve the quality of the movie?
I hope you have a answer.
Thanks

As said in other threads;
Use Bilinear when downsizing and Biqubic when upsizing an image.
DVD 720x480(720x576) to SVCD 480x480(480x576) is downsizing.
Bilinear takes shorter time.
Bicubic makes artificial sharpening that makes the movie harder to compress which leads to bigger mpeg file or less quality with same size.
Most people compare the both in some drawing program and forget that in moviemaking there is an lossy compression that takes place after the resize.
If you want to use the newer ability to make SVCD from AVI file I recomend Bilinear if the resizing leads to upsizing in some direction.
I have done conversion from DivX 630x320(NTSC) to SVCD 480x576(PAL). This means upsizing in height an downsizing in width.

How does SimpleResize fit into this? I have been using Bilinear exclusivly for a while and was wondering if Sikple REsize is the way to go?
