Not sure if this is appropriate but:
I was wondering, what hardware/software I would need to capture TV shows in Japan. I'd like to record some shows the coming season, but I would like to have transport streams, that I could encode myself for PC use.
So far all I know about getting transport streams is:
1. Need Satillite with Channels I Need
2. [spam removed]
3. A laptop
And that's all I figured out so far. Could someone with some more expertise in this area help me out here? What software am I mising? Or are there any specfic specs I need to have to make this work out?
Also my plan is I'd be doing this remotely from Canada. I have a friend in Japan. So, my other question is, would this be possible to do from Canada if I had a satillite like ViewSat2000?
