Smartripper broken blocks

Hello,

Using smartripper (newest version) and XP. As it starts to do the ripping, everything seems fine, and all the sudden broken blocks (14) appears. And then, a few more broken blocks appear.

Question 1:
What are broken blocks and what are they caused by?

Question 2:
Assuming the .vob ripps are not identical to the DVD, is it still possible to encode the video in Gknot (Divx4), albeit the possibility of missed frames, messed up frames, etc during parts of the movie?

Broken blocks are reading errors. When you don't find the right key, SR tries to rip them but is not able to decrypt them and puts out broken blocks.

Go to the options, and disable "Fast Error Skip". That should work...
