Hello, (hope to be into good forum...)

Required to reinstall a brand new version of Win XP on my MacPro because of serious malfunction...

I get used to re-encode and resize video stream with Avisynth, VirtualDubMod and a H264 stream decoding Sonic filters chain assembled in GraphEdit...

Alas, my new installation of habitual Sonic filters produce following error in Graphedit and I don't find cause after many and many tests and checks....

I have tried different h264 input files without success... Always this error in linking demux and video decoder...

Any idea which can helps me to find problem ?

Thanks in advance...

I moved the thread to this forum. I don't think it is an AviSynth problem.

«Good old ffdshow» video decoder does'nt work properly for me in this case...

I used many and many times Sonic decoding chain with always a perfect work... It's why I have to absolutely correct this problem... :)

Well... it certainly should :)

Try this:

Haali Splitter (your 264 file) -> ffdshow video decoder

Well... it certainly should :)

Try this:

Haali Splitter (your 264 file) -> ffdshow video decoder

For HD formats (720p and 1080p), it seems equally not suitable...

Instead, as it seems the problem (for me) comes from Sonic video decoder 4.2 filter, I have found an other operational ffdshow sequence (thank you GSpot) :

File async parser>Sonic HD Demuxer>VFW CoreAVC decoder

Tested with 2 files (720 and 1080), it seems as good as Sonic module...

Thank you for your help...

Have you tried CoreAVC 1.7.0 or Cyberlink's h.264/AVC decoder? It worked for me where ffdshow failed.
