I'm working on it for a couple of days. I'm trying to burn my .avi on a DVD with ConvertXtoDVD.

The first time the sound was so low I couldn't even understand. This was with the original .avi.
Video :
611 Mo, 881 Kbps, 25.0 fps, res. 592*320 (16:9), XVID = XVID Mpeg-4
Audio :80 Mo, 121 Kbps, 48000 Hz, 2 channel, 0x55 = Lame MP3, VBR,

The second time I reencoded my video with Virtualdub and set an Audio amplifer. The sound was way louder but it was choppy, I mean really choopy.
I gave alook on google and many forums and I finally found that it could be my audio that was running at variable bit rate.

I found a LAME mp3 encoder to set CBR as a settings and I'm currently burning it on my DVD.

Edit:

To make it easier for you i made this :
worked :

Didnt work:

But my question is can we reencode a file with virtual dub with the audio settings as follow :
AC3 CBR 192kbps 48,000Hz.

Thank you if yes could i have a link to download the codec or whatever it is :D

Hi!

I don't think your problem has anything to do with burning per se...

Where should i post it then, i'm not seeing any place related to audio.

There is an audio encoding forum :)

Here's what you could do - extract the MP3 from your movie, decode it to WAV using Foobar2000 or some other application, then use Aften to encode it to AC3 at whatever bitrate you want.

Finally, use AVIMuxGUI or VirtualDub to remux the video with your new AC3 track to a finished AVI.

@Blue_Misfit

Hi!

A moderator just moved this from the "DVD Burning" sub-forum to (here) the "XviD" sub-forum...

@francoeurThe first time the sound was so low I couldn't even understand. This was with the original .avi.What is the format of the audio in the original source material (From which you created your "original" .AVI)?
