Video colors screwed after vid. driver update

Have a GeForce FX 5500 and updated to 6.14.11.7516 (175.16 on Nvidia's site) and now all my video colors are screwed in multiple players. Nothing else on my system has changed and no tweaking of the Nvidia control panel has been done. I even rolled back to a previous version and problem still remained. Maybe some residual files left behind. Is this common? I don't update vid. drivers very often. Anything to be done?

Happened to me in the past (XP Pro SP2): uninstall the drivers, reboot, install the last working version. If it is working and you feel adventurous, uninstall this version, reboot and install a new version. Unless I'm mistaken, I had to repeat the procedure several times (with reboots) until colors were okay again.

Problem fixed. Removed all old driver files and re-installed. Should have done that from the beginning. Thanks!
