I have rip a movie to my hard drive and it is 4.81gigs and I need to get under 4.7 does any 1 no of a good program that will compress the movie so I can put it on a dvd+rw disc

How about cutting off the tiles at the beginning and the credits at the end, usually amounts to at least 5-7 minutes worth, worth a try?

Did you already strip out the unneeded audio and subtitle streams? I understand they can be replaced with empty dummy files so that it doesn't screw up the menus. I believe Doom9 has a guide on this.
