Wondering what your thoughts are about MediaDefender abusing and DOS'ing Revision3's 100% legit BT tracker (http://yro.slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=568091&cid=23592613)?

Of course, it is no better that they attack any tracker in this manner. It probably violates many laws.

Aside from the obvious, I wonder if/how much they fuel their own business by uploading torrents to seemingly infringing content themselves? Are their torrents included in published piracy statistics? Also, if you happen to download material from a torrent published by MediaDefender, is it really an infringement? AFAIK they act on behalf of the industry. Are any of the infringer suits against people downloading from MD's torrents, do we know?

Nah that would be just the slashdot submission and the comments to it - which I mostly agree with. DoS attacks are illegal and I hope it lands the MD guys in very hot water.
The actual story / article is the blog entry by Jim Louderback (CEO of R3) which can be found here (http://revision3.com/blog/2008/05/29/inside-the-attack-that-crippled-revision3).
